Final weekend of the campaign - How many people do you know that live in the 50th Assembly District: Bell, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Commerce, Cudahy, Downey, Lynwood, South Gate, Florence-Graham, and Walnut Park? Can you help this weekend? Send them an email, Facebook message, or Tweet, and tell them to Vote for P.J. Mellana.
Thank you,

It’s looking more and more like the chances for rain on Saturday are high, but I wanted to assure you that our Rummage Sale and Meet-and-Greet this weekend are a go RAIN OR SHINE. It’s a go for a few different reasons: 1) Pushing back the date is not an option because we’ve already lost our kids twice as they like to play hide-n-seek in the rummage which now encompasses our entire garage, den, and living room! THANK YOU ALL THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED ALREADY! 2) This weekend is the last full weekend to gather signatures in lieu of the filing fee to place me on the ballot. So if you live in the district or know of anyone that does, please have them stop by to sign our petitions.

We have secured a number of canopies for Saturday to shield from the rain, but are in need of a few more. So if you are in the area and would be willing to let us borrow your popup canopy, we would greatly appreciate it. I promise it will not be sold as rummage.
I can pick it up on Friday and will return it on either Sunday or Monday. If you can help out in this area please email me at pj@voteforpj.com. ANOTHER BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE THAT HAVE LOANED US CANOPIES!
Below is the detailed information for the event. Thank you for your continued support!
-P.J.
Please join us this Saturday, February 20, 2010 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., for the Vote for P.J. Rummage Sale Fundraiser.
The event will also serve as a Meet-and-Greet for constituents and supporters to drop by throughout the day to meet their next State Assemblyman, register to vote if needed, and sign the petition to put him on the ballot in June for the primary election. We hope to see you there and that you will encourage your friends and family to come by as well to check out all the great items we will have for sale.
"Got Junk In Your Trunk?"
You can also get an early start on your spring cleaning by donating your junk to the campaign. Here is how you can help: Drop off items you would like to donate to the rummage sale this Friday, February 19th between the hours of 10am and 9pm. Your items will be sold and the funds generated from the sale will be considered an increase to cash from your in-kind contribution to the campaign. You can drop off your items at 14515 Eastbrook Ave., Bellflower, CA 90706.
Upon delivery, you will be asked to provide an estimated value of the donated items. The value should be what you estimate the item is worth and not necessarily the original purchase price. Suggested items include, but are not limited to, tools, electronics, computers, televisions, furniture, children's clothing, antique and vintage items.*
*All unsold items will be donated to Goodwill or if deemed saleable on the Internet we will try to get them sold that way to turn into cash.
With your support, we will meet our goal of turning all these items into cash-on-hand for the campaign.
